Mallikuvion nappasin Kathleen Taylorin kirjasta The Big Book of Socks.

Pattern: Easy Lace Socks, improvised
Yarn: Dream in Color Classy in Charged Cherry
Needles: 4 mm
One day I got a feeling: a craving for pink socks. I dug through my yarn boxes and noticed I had very few pink balls. But I've lately been trying not to buy more yarn (or anything else for that matter), I just picked the most suitable one of the balls I already owned. These Dream in Color yarn I bought last winter is 100 % wool though, so it's not the best option for socks. But it's quite thick as well, so these ended up being the perfect socks to use at home. I'm sure the yarn will tolerate that for a while.
I took the lace pattern from The Big Book of Socks by Kathleen Taylor. And then I improvovised the rest, as my yarn was much thicker than in the pattern. The lace repeats were easy to remember and knit but still kept the knitting interesting. I have to say these are perfect.
Voi hyvät hyssykät, vai pitäisikö sanoa tossukat! Ihanat sukat.
ReplyDeleteKiitos :)
DeleteHienot sukat! Hiivi varovasti niillä, ettei villa hiudu heti puhki. ;)
ReplyDeleteHissuttelen hyvin hillitysti, enkä yhtään harrasta parkettiliukuja ;)
