Hekin listaavat // They make lists too

Tiedätte jo, että pidän listojen tekemisestä. Mutta rkastan myös lukea muiden kirjoittamia listoja. Viime aikoina olen tullut siihen tulokseen, että minulla on kaksi lempilistaajaa, joiden listoja odotan innolla ja luen hartaudella. Näistä listoista saan myös ideoita ja inspiraatiota. Pitemmittä puheitta, haluaisin esitellä Andrean Hula Seventy -blogista ja Biancan Goodnight Little Spoon -blogista.

You already know I love making lists. But I' also love reading lists written by others. Lately I've come to realize I have two favourite list makers whose lists I eagerly wait for and then read with great pleasure. I also get ideas and inspiration from them. Without further ado, I'd like to introduce Andrea of Hula Seventy and Bianca of Goodnight Little Spoon.

Nämä kaksi listaajaa (sekä heidän listansa) ovat melko erilaisia. Bianca on todella hyvä tekemään visuaalisia listoja, jotka ovat kivoja katsella ja miellyttäviä katsella. Hän saa yksinkertaisen post it -lapunkin näyttämään kauniilta ja kiinnostavalta. Biancalla on myös hauskimmat aiheet. Viime aikojen suosikkejani ovat olleet nämä listat: Terrible names for twins, Jobs my friends do / have done for a living, Colours with interesting names, Things I'd like to collect, Five facts from my Childhood and Things the world could do without. Joitakin Biancan listoja käytin kuvituksena tässä postauksessa, joten voitte katsastaa ne helposti ihan itse (tekijän luvalla, luonnollisesti).

These two list makers (and their lists) are quite different. Bianca is very good making visual lists that are pretty to watch and a pleasure to read. She can make a simple post it look pretty and interesting. She also has the funniest of topics. Some of my latest favourites have been Terrible names for twins, Jobs my friends do / have done for a living, Colours with interesting names, Things I'd like to collect, Five facts from my Childhood and Things the world could do without. Go ahead and check them yourself: I've used some of them as illustration to this post (With Bianca's permission, of course).

Siinä missä Biancan listoissa kiehtoo visuaalisuus, Andrean listoissa rakastan eniten hänen tapaansa käyttää sanoja. Andrealla on kyky kirjoittaa asioista niin, että voin nähdä ne sieluni silmin. Hän ikäänkuin kirjoittaa kuvia, jos tiedätte mitä tarkoitan. Toinen ihanuus on listojen yksityiskohtaisuus. Hän todella kiinnittää huomiota pieniin yksityiskohtiin ja kauniisiin asioihin, ja rakastan sitä todella. Kaiken kaikkiaan andrean listoista tulee mukava ja lämmin olo (niin kuin muuten myös hänen valokuvistaan, Andrea on uskomaton valokuvaaja). Kikkien aikojen suosikkejani ovat olleet muun muassa seuraavat listat: Things seen from a window of a train, Things I'd like to tell my 17 year-old self, Words I love, Things I dream of when the day turns sour, Recently spotted and 100 (more) things in the world I love.

Where I love the visuality of Bianca's list, what I love most about Andrea's lists is the way she uses words. Andrea has a skill to write about things so that I can see them in my mind's eye. She kind of writes pictures, if you see what I mean. The other thing I love is how detailed her lists can be. She really pays attention to little details and pretty things, and I absolutely love that. All in all, her lists do make me feel warm and fuzzy inside (by the way, so do her photographs! Andrea is an incredible photographer). Some of my all-time favourites are Things seen from a window of a train, Things I'd like to tell my 17 year-old self, Words I love, Things I dream of when the day turns sour, Recently spotted and 100 (more) things in the world I love.
