Fantastic Fox Hat

On hankalaa pitää suunsa kiinni kun tekee projektia, josta on innoissaan. Olen nyt melkein kaksi viikkoa valmistautunut ihanan Paper Sparrow - blogin Wes Anderson-teemaisiin blogibileisiin virkkaamalla kettuhattua Fantastic Mr. Fox - elokuvan hengessä. Arvatkaa vaan, kuinka monta kertaa on tehnyt mieli päivittää aiheesta.

It's hard to keep your mouth shut when you're working on a project you are excited of.For last two weeks I've been preparing a crocheted fox hat for the lovely Paper Sparrow - blog's Wes Anderson Blog Party. And guess how many times I've wanted to post about my project. But I managed not to, and can now surprise you by saying I also wrote a crochet pattern for the hat. A free one, to be exact. So grab your hook and hop over to Paper Sparrow to read my post, that's where you'll find the pattern as well. And don't miss the other projects of the party either, there are some very lovely things!

When I've finished writing the Finnish version of the pattern I'll upload both of the versions to Ravlery. Until then, the only place to find the pattern is here. What are you still waiting for? Hop over there!

  2. Kiitos! Viekkaat viirusilmäni olivat auenneet torkuilta noin kolme minuuttia ennen näiden kuvien ottamista, joten olivat kyllä vähän unisetkin vielä :D

    Ihanaa syksyä myös sinne!

  6. WOW! I have just seen this over on Paper Sparrow and I'm so amazed! I have never crocheted before but I have a set of hooks that my mum bought me from a boot sale and this has inspired me to have a go! Possible a little challenging for a first try but ho hum, I needs this hat in my life! Thanks xxx

Haha, I can teach you some! Nice to hear this has been inspiring!

Go a head, have a try! It's not too tricky for a first try, I think, I started with hats myself. (If I remember right, as it was quite long ago ;)) And if there's something you don't understand in the pattern, just google it. Most likely you'll find a video showing you what to do.
